Muir's Baseball
Team Needs Your Support
A softball game was held to raise funds for the
John Muir High School Baseball program on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008.
The funds will be used to help to defray the cost of uniforms for
the team according
to Head Coach Michael Bendy.
“The kids deserve a lot more than they are getting,” said
Bendy, a 1979 graduate who volunteers his time to work with
the team. “If we can show them how things are done, I truly
believe we can help change the perception of the school and
bring out strong leadership among the students and alumni.”
Participants in the fundraiser were asked to donate $25
each. Anyone wishing to donate can
send a check to John Muir Alumni Association, P.O. Box
93367, Pasadena, CA 91109. Reference "Mustang Baseball" on the
memo line.
